
Greetings and welcome to the BODIE METHOD ENCYCLOPEDIA. The uniqueness of this method of fitness and health training made it necessary to build this encyclopedia. Throughout this study we will be using words specific to this method. The word exercise is replaced with Movement. Other differences will be explained as we come across them. Our trip through this first volume begins with an in-depth study of the Basic Balance Movement Series. I created the Basic Balance Movement Series as a means of neurologically waking up the body. This awakening occurs because execution of the Basic Balance Movement Series demandes a lot of attention and self-control. We will discover more during our exploration. While learning to understand and execute each of the nine principal working positions, you will be taken on a wild and interesting ride through the human anatomy. At the end of this first volume you will know a great deal more about your body and how to use it in a safe and productive way. I will explain why the Basic Balance Movement Series works so well in its predetermined field of physical enhancements. We will also briefly talk about the important difference between Necessary Reactive Learning and Necessary Personal Functional Learning. We will study and learn in detail each individual Working Position: how it is executed, the principal muscles used and the important physiological functions it improves when applied in a regular fitness program.
